Our Waste-based products make a powerful impact....
Both from how they're made & when they're used.
Renergi's groundbreaking technologies allow us to create products with a virtuous cycle, repurposing wastes and fuelling sustainability and carbon removal projects.
Learn more about how Renergi uses wastes that would otherwise be incinerated, left to decompose, or landfilled to create valuable products while removing carbon from our atmosphere.
Biochar
Biochar has an enormous number of uses, such as regenerative agriculture, construction, and filtration.
Wood Vinegar
Also known as ‘pyroligneous acid’ and ‘smoke water’, wood vinegar is a coproduct of biochar that is a natural bio stimulant that can also potentially be used to protect against pests, disease, and weeds.
Bio-oil
Also a coproduct of biochar, bio-oil can be used for a huge number of applications, from binder, road additive or agricultural input, right through to a being a green fuel substitute.
Future Renergi Products
Bio-Based Circular Economy
Renergi creates renewable sustainable products from wastes that would otherwise be incinerated, left to decompose, or landfilled.... all while removing carbon from our atmosphere!
WHY BIOMASS?
Biomass is an integral component to the world’s renewable energy supply and, when sustainably sourced from wastes and residues, is critical to tackling our climate challenges for both developing and developed countries.
Energy from biomass has many benefits including:
- biomass is amongst the cheapest renewables available
- biomass is widely available in almost every part of the world
- biomass is the only renewable resource that can be used to directly produce liquid fuels for transport purposes
- biomass can be used to generate base-load electricity
- biochar from biomass helps remove CO2 that has been emitted into the atmosphere
WHAT IS BIOCHAR? WOOD VINEGAR? BIO-OIL/ ENERGY/ FUEL?
A process known as pyrolysis converts biomass into a stable and carbon-rich substance called ‘biochar’ while simultaneously creating a gaseous fuel, bio-oil, and wood vinegar (pyroligneous acid)
We Help Organisations Neutralise Their Emissions Through CO2 Removal Certificates (CORCs).
Biochar from Biomass Feedstock
We remove more than two tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere for every tonne of biochar we produce from biomass (forestry and agricultural residues) feedstocks
Biochar from Municipal Solid Waste Feedstock
We remove more than five tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere for every tonne of biochar we produce from municipal solid waste feedstocks.
Note, MSW biochar is processed separately from biomass feedstock biochar.
