What are the recommended application rates for biochar for agricultural purposes?
Application rates will vary depending on a number of factors, such as the characteristics of the biochar itself (the feedstock type, pyrolysis conditions), the soil type, and what you are growing.
By using biochar as part of my farming operation, can I deduct the carbon removal from the overall emissions of my operation?
You can only deduct the carbon removal if no CORCs (CO2 Removal Certificates) have been claimed for the equivalent biochar you have added to the soil. If this is an intention, you will need to inform us so we can assign the CORCs to your organisation, otherwise they will be purchased by another company (such as Microsoft or Shopify) to offset their carbon emissions.
What is in wood vinegar? Is it organic?
Wood Vinegar is a versatile and eco-friendly liquid made up of acetic acid and over 200 different bioactive compounds, such as phenolic compounds, esters, alkanes, and ketones. Wood Vinegar is considered a natural organic product as long as it is made from clean and uncontaminated biomass feedstocks.
What are the application rates for wood vinegar?
The applications rates will vary depending on what it is you want to achieve, with dilution rates ranging as low as 10x and as high as 200x. As a general rule if the application is as a bio-stimulant and resilience building, the dilution is on the higher end. Renergi recommends always testing the product before applying at scale.
